Livestock Feeds PLC: UAC Selling 73.29% Majority Stake
Livestock Feeds PLC has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the investing public that its majority shareholder, UAC of Nigeria PLC, has entered into an agreement to sell its 73.29% shareholding in the company to Sunbeth Treenuts and Sesame Limited. The transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of conditions precedent, including receipt of all required regulatory approvals.
Livestock Feeds PLC (NGX: LIVESTOCK), a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria PLC, filed a corporate action notice dated 30 September 2026, disclosing a proposed change in its substantial shareholding structure. According to the filing, UAC of Nigeria PLC has entered into an agreement to divest its 73.29% majority stake in Livestock Feeds PLC to Sunbeth Treenuts and Sesame Limited, referred to in the document as the Transaction.
The filing does not disclose the financial terms or the transaction value. Completion of the Transaction is contingent on the fulfilment of conditions precedent, specifically the receipt of all required regulatory approvals from relevant authorities.
The company has stated that it will issue a further notification to NGX and the investing public upon completion of the Transaction. The filing was signed by Rose Hamis, Company Secretary, on behalf of the Board of Directors.
The Board is chaired by Joseph I.D. Dada, with Adegboyega Adedeji serving as Managing Director.
The company operates production facilities in Lagos, Aba (Abia State), and Kano State. Shareholders and stakeholders were advised in the filing to exercise caution when dealing in the company's shares pending further announcements.
