UI Students’ Representative Council to Host Leadership Summit

The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council (UISRC), under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. John Oludele, is organizing the Odidiomo Students’ Legislative Summit on September 22-23, 2026.

This summit aims to foster a culture of service and responsible leadership among students and young leaders in Nigeria. It is named in honor of Hon. Stanley Adedeji Dhkirullah Olajide, a member of the House of Representatives and the Allied Peoples Movement candidate for the Oyo South Senatorial District.

The theme of the summit, “The Service Paradigm: Transforming Mindset for Service-Driven Leadership in Nigeria,” emphasizes the need for leadership to be viewed as a service rather than a privilege. The UISRC aims to deepen understanding of legislative responsibilities and the role of youth in governance.

The summit will facilitate discussions on leadership, accountability, and the importance of public service, aiming to inspire a new generation of leaders committed to societal development.
