Hon. Olajide Pledges N50m for Youth Legislative Summit

Hon. Adedeji Olajide, a member of the House of Representatives for Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency and Oyo South Senatorial Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, pledged N50 million for the Youth Legislative Summit during his induction into the University of Ibadan Students’ Union on Wednesday. He emphasized his commitment to mentoring youths in Oyo State, stating that proper mentorship would lead to greater advancements.

Hon. Olajide, known as Odidiomo, described his new role as a challenge and expressed his readiness to invest resources in transforming students for a competitive future. He donated 20 laptops to the Oyo State Youth Parliament to help bridge the digital gap and announced plans to launch a digital center with training programs for students.

Rt. Hon. John Oludele, Speaker of the University of Ibadan Students’ Legislative Council, praised Hon. Olajide's contributions to youth development, comparing the induction to the honorary citizenship awarded to Prof. Wole Soyinka.
