UK Officials Attend ADC National Convention in Abuja

The UK Government, through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), explained the attendance of its officials at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Convention held in Abuja on April 14, 2026. The delegation, which included three members led by Political Secretary Thomas Samson and Nigerian staff member Damilola Oyede, attended the convention as part of routine diplomatic engagement with various political and civic actors in Nigeria.

The FCDO stated that the UK remains committed to supporting credible and inclusive electoral processes in Nigeria, aiming to strengthen democratic institutions.
