UK Rapper Ghetts Pleads Guilty to Hit-and-Run Death in London Court

British rapper and actor Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clark Samuel, pleaded guilty in court to a hit-and-run incident that led to the death of 20-year-old Yubin Tamang, a Nepali student. The incident occurred in Ilford, London, where Ghetts was driving at 60mph in a 30mph zone and failed to stop after hitting Tamang, who tragically passed away two days later.

Ghetts, a two-time Mercury Prize nominee and MOBO winner, appeared in court via videolink from prison and will be sentenced on February 12, 2026. His BMW was found damaged near his home, and he faces charges related to careless driving and exceeding the alcohol limit.
