Umahi Urges Federal Controllers to Prioritize Projects

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, addressed Federal Controllers of Works from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during a monthly meeting at the ministry's headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja. He urged them to prioritize the interests of Nigerians and take ownership of the projects they supervise.

Umahi emphasized the need for effective supervision, which requires both professional knowledge and practical understanding of construction activities. He encouraged the controllers to spend more time at project sites and engage with the communities affected by these projects.

Reflecting on his previous tenure as governor of Ebonyi State, Umahi stated that his achievements were driven by faith, commitment to the people, and a strong sense of responsibility. He conveyed that placing the people at the center of their responsibilities is akin to putting God first, which would lead to job satisfaction and fulfillment in public service.
