UN and Nigeria Collaborate to Achieve SDGs by 2030

The United Nations, represented by Moham Malick Fall, emphasized the need for stronger cooperation with the Federal Government of Nigeria during a joint steering committee meeting in Abuja. This collaboration aims to drive growth and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the 2030 deadline.

Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, reaffirmed the government's commitment to the cooperation framework, which reflects Nigeria's development aspirations. He noted the importance of mobilizing private sector investment and innovative financing to complement public finance in achieving SDGs.

Dr. Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, stressed the commitment to ensuring no Nigerian is left behind, highlighting the integration of humanitarian action with social protection systems.

The meeting identified priority actions to accelerate the implementation of Nigeria's national development plan aligned with the 2030 agenda.
