Kaduna Judiciary Workers Declare Indefinite Strike Over Unmet Demands

Kaduna Judiciary Workers Union has announced an indefinite strike following unmet demands, such as the implementation of financial autonomy for the judiciary and salary adjustments. The strike, scheduled to start on October 27, 2025, is a result of various correspondences being ignored, including letters dating back to 2021.

The union demands the payment of withheld salaries, arrears, and other entitlements. The Secretary of the Kaduna State branch, Nasir Haroun, directed staff to withdraw services until further notice, leading to the shutdown of judicial activities in Kaduna State.
