UN's Amina Mohammed Visits Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute

On Tuesday, Amina Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, visited the Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute (OOLI) in Abeokuta, Ogun State. During her visit, she engaged in strategic discussions with Prof Samuel Adedeji Daramola, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Board of Trustees member of OOLI.

Founded by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, OOLI focuses on developing ethical and visionary leaders through various initiatives. Mohammed praised OOLI as a platform for leadership reflection and continuity, stating its importance in building on the legacy of past leaders.

Following her discussions with Prof Daramola, she held a closed-door meeting with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, where they addressed shared priorities such as peacebuilding and sustainable development. Prof Daramola described the visit as a significant milestone for OOLI's international partnerships, while Obasanjo reiterated the institute's commitment to fostering leadership excellence in Africa.
