INEC Reports Lagos Leads Nigeria with 7.4M Voters

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Lagos State has the highest number of registered voters in Nigeria, totaling 7,488,633, ahead of the 2027 general elections. The lowest number of registered voters is in Ekiti State, with 1,055,708. The total voter register comprises 103.43 million individuals, with male voters accounting for 51.75% and female voters 48.25%.
The age profile indicates that voters aged 35 to 49 years dominate the register, while 232,658 individuals with disabilities are also included. The register will be displayed for public scrutiny from October 9 to 15, 2026.
