Women Urged to Turn Purpose into Action at UPYOUWOMEN 2026

At the 2026 UPYOUWOMEN conference in Lagos, Ezinne Kufre-Ekanem, a transformational speaker, author, and strategist, called on women to take responsibility for their lives and translate their purpose into actionable steps. The conference, themed ‘Aligned: Positioned for Purpose and Impact’, aimed to inspire women to leave with clarity about their identities and intentions.

Kufre-Ekanem emphasized that alignment involves becoming fully oneself and requires courage to make difficult decisions and take responsibility. She highlighted the significance of community and collaboration, stating that women need supportive networks to progress.

The conference also addressed various issues affecting women's personal development, including voice, personal branding, and creativity. Kufre-Ekanem connected the event to ‘Project Empower 1100’, advocating for the sharing of knowledge and success to create opportunities for others.

Ebisan Akisanya, Chairperson of Women in Business (WINBIZ), encouraged women to align their values and actions with their purpose for meaningful impact.
