US Expands Global Entry Program to 23 Countries

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published a list of 23 countries whose nationals can benefit from the Global Entry program, which allows pre-approved individuals to clear US immigration faster upon arrival. The countries included are Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada (via NEXUS), Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Germany, India, Japan, Jordan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

The CBP has established bilateral arrangements with these partner countries to facilitate smoother travel into the United States. Notably absent from this list are any African nations, meaning citizens from countries such as Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Egypt will continue to undergo standard US Customs and Border Protection immigration processing upon arrival.

The Global Entry program is particularly beneficial for frequent travelers, significantly reducing waiting times at busy entry points.
