US NGO Covers Hospital Bills for Benue Attack Victims

Equipping the Persecuted (ETP), a US-based NGO founded by filmmaker and missionary Mr. Judd Saul, intervened to assist victims of recent attacks in Efeyi and Agadagba communities, located in Ogboju District of Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State.

On Sunday, a team led by representative Mike Odeh James visited the victims at the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Otukpo, to provide an undisclosed amount of money to cover their hospital bills. The victims suffered various injuries, including gunshot wounds and deep machete cuts, attributed to suspected Fulani ethnic militias.

James stated that this assistance followed an earlier assessment visit, where Mr. Judd Saul directed that the victims' medical expenses be settled.

The Protocol and Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr. Onyilokwu Edeh, acknowledged that this was the third time ETP had supported victims of violent attacks at the facility.

In total, 14 victims were treated, with ETP covering the bills for 12 of them.
