Uzee Usman and Mary Njoku Launch "Mafarki" Series

Uzee Usman and Mary Njoku unveiled the "Mafarki" series, which is set to premiere on ROK2 on April 16. The series will air on DStv channel 169 and GOtv channel 10, every Monday to Thursday at 7:30 PM. "Mafarki," produced by Uzee Usman in collaboration with ROK Studio, is described as one of the biggest series emerging from Northern Nigeria, reflecting ongoing efforts to expand the region's presence in Nollywood.

The cast includes veteran actor Ali Nuhu, Uzee Usman, Tope Olowoniyan, Chelsea Ez, Rabiu Rikadawa, Esin Abdul Zada, and introduces new face Blossom Okpalek. The storyline centers on a young girl whose dream of becoming a medical doctor is hindered by socio-cultural and economic challenges in Northern Nigeria.

Usman emphasized that the series highlights the everyday struggles faced by girls in the region pursuing education and personal ambitions. Blossom Okpalek's compelling performance in the lead role aims to spark conversations around gender opportunities and resilience in the region.
