Uzodimma Allocates N300m for Returnees and Law Students

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State approved the release of N300 million to assist 250 Nigerian returnees from South Africa and 100 law students. This initiative is part of his administration's commitment to the welfare of citizens, particularly in light of rising living costs.

Each returnee will receive one million naira, while each law student will receive N500,000 to help alleviate their suffering. Imo State Commissioner for Information and Public Orientation, Declan Emelumba, disclosed this in a statement, emphasizing the governor's humanitarian gesture.

The governor expressed empathy for the returnees, acknowledging the trauma faced by those forced to leave South Africa. This funding is part of the broader "Share Prosper" agenda aimed at ensuring that every citizen is taken care of, especially those affected by external circumstances.
