Uzodimma Approves N25bn for Judges' Quarters in Imo

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma approved the construction of judges' quarters valued at N25 billion as part of efforts to improve the welfare of judicial officers. The project includes the construction of 40 duplexes alongside recreational facilities.

Additionally, the governor approved N1.9 billion for the establishment of four computer-based test (CBT) centers in the Orlu Zone, aimed at modernizing the state's infrastructure and improving access to joint admissions and matriculation board examinations. The council also approved the immediate release of N900 million for the commencement of work on two pilot centers located at Bishop Shanahan Okoy Secondary School and Omuma Secondary School.

Furthermore, the council approved the establishment of Imo Signage Asset Management Limited to regulate the deployment of smart digital billboards through a public-private partnership, enhancing the state's digital economy without financial commitments from the state government.
