Veritas University to Build Sports Complex for Community

Veritas University, located in Abuja, has announced its intention to construct a multi-million Naira ultra-modern sports facility aimed at benefiting its host community of Zuma and nearby settlements. This announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Hyacinth Ichoku, during a meeting with Hon. Caleb Danladi, the Councillor for Bwari Central Ward in the Bwari Area Council.

Prof. Ichoku emphasized the importance of engaging local youth to prevent crime and nurture their athletic talents. He stated, “We have many talented young men and women in our host community and the adjoining areas whom we want to support.” As part of the university's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Vice-Chancellor called on Hon. Danladi to assist in securing a suitable piece of land for the sports complex.

Hon. Danladi expressed his intention to collaborate with the university and community leaders to facilitate this project, commending the university for creating job opportunities for local residents.
