Vice Chancellor Advocates for Teachers' Welfare at 2025 World Teachers' Day Celebration

The Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Prof. Maduebibisi Iw, highlighted the challenges faced by teachers in Nigeria, such as poor funding, inadequate logistics, and limited access to quality resources during the 2025 World Teachers' Day celebration in Umuahia, Abia State.

The event was attended by Abia State Governor Alex Otti, who stressed the importance of education in societal development. The Deputy Governor, Ikechukwu Emetu, reiterated the government's commitment to investing in education.

The occasion was described as highly significant by the Chairman of the Basic Secondary Education Commission, Goodluck Ubochi.
