Davido Celebrates Adeleke's Osun Victory with Wike

In a video shared online, Davido playfully challenged Wike following the recent Osun State governorship election, stating, “I won, I beat you guys.” This remark was in reference to the victory of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who secured a second term in office as governor on the platform of the Accord Party. Wike, a member of the All Progressives Congress, appeared hesitant to acknowledge the defeat as Davido insisted on their victory.

The election saw Adeleke defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, receiving 444,815 votes and winning by a margin of 66,252 votes. The election was closely watched as it was seen as a significant political battle ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Davido played a prominent role in the campaign, serving as the Chairman of the Imole Youth Campaign Council, mobilizing young voters, and establishing a youth mobilization team across Osun’s senatorial districts. His political involvement dates back to 2022 when he campaigned for Adeleke's first successful bid for office.
