Former U.S. President Donald Trump defended sharing a video portraying former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle as monkeys, stating it was not a mistake.

The video was removed from Trump's official Truth Social account. Trump, aboard Air Force One, insisted he made no mistake and did not need to apologize.

He explained he did not watch the entire clip before sharing it online. When asked if he condemned the video's content, Trump replied by criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom and dismissing criticism from Harri Sisson.

Critics described the post as racist and unbecoming of a president.
