Arise TV Cuts Interview After Wike's Aide Refuses Questions

On Friday, Arise TV abruptly terminated an interview with Lere Olayinka, who serves as the Media Aide to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The interview ended after Olayinka declined to answer questions posed by TV anchor Rufai Oseni.

When asked to respond, Olayinka stated, “I don’t want to answer any question from you Oseni Rufai. I want this conversation to be among reasonable human beings.

People who won’t describe other people as ‘Gbewudani’.” Following this refusal, another anchor, Mario Esse, reminded Olayinka that the Arise TV morning show features three anchors and indicated that the interview could not proceed without Olayinka answering Oseni's questions. This incident highlights tensions in media interactions with political aides.
