Dele Momodu: Nigeria Faces Unprecedented Hardship

Dele Momodu, a veteran journalist, expressed grave concerns about the current state of insecurity and economic hardship in Nigeria, describing it as unprecedented in the nation’s history. In an interview with journalist Rufai Oseni, shared via Nevon Media on Instagram, Momodu noted that the hardship has reached a point where people are afraid to check their phones due to the volume of financial help requests they receive daily.

He emphasized that, at 66 years old, he has witnessed Nigeria's past challenges, asserting that nothing in the country’s history compares to the present situation. Momodu criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for failing to show remorse regarding the state of insecurity, which he described as the worst he has ever seen.

He called for regular engagement between the government and citizens, drawing a comparison to former U.S. President Donald Trump, who communicated regularly with Americans despite challenges.
