NDLEA Seizes 43,980 Tramadol Capsules in Drug Bust

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) uncovered 43,980 capsules of tramadol concealed inside the fuel tanks of two large vehicles, marking a sophisticated attempt at drug trafficking. According to a statement released by Femi Babafemi, the agency's Director of Media and Advocacy, the suspects allegedly traveled from Onitsha, Anambra State, to purchase the fuel tanks, which were not intended for vehicle resale but specifically to conceal and transport illicit drugs.

The suspects successfully moved the concealed consignment past several security checkpoints in Anambra State before their eventual arrest in the Wukari area of Taraba State. A video released by the NDLEA shows the moment the lid was blown off the drug trafficking enterprise, bringing it to an abrupt end.
