Police Arrest Two with 132 Sachets of Tramadol in Delta

On August 13, 2026, police operatives from Operation Delta Shield arrested two suspects, Hillary Osondu and Abubakar Bello, both aged 54, in Asaba, Delta State. The arrest occurred during a stop-and-search operation along Nnebisi Road, where police intercepted a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ZBL-549-XA.

During this operation, the police recovered 132 sachets of 100mg Tramadol from the suspects. Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the state command, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects are currently in custody.

He also mentioned that investigations are ongoing to apprehend other accomplices involved in the case. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will be charged in court.
