Two Arrested with 150,000 Tramadol Capsules in Adamawa

On August 11, 2026, the Adamawa State Police Command arrested two suspects, Bashiru Ibrahim, 27, and Mustapha Labbo, 26, for the unlawful transportation of 150,000 Tramadol capsules valued at over N5 million. The suspects, residents of Jamtari, were intercepted by a patrol team at Dabala Village via Malabu while transporting the drugs from Jamtari to Garwa in the Republic of Cameroon.

A search conducted by the patrol team resulted in the recovery of 150 packs containing the capsules, with an estimated street value of N5,250,000. Both suspects and the recovered drugs have been taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the drugs and any other individuals involved in the illegal consignment.

The Adamawa State Police Command, led by CP Kabir Hassan, reiterated its commitment to combating drug trafficking and urged the public to provide credible information to assist in crime prevention.
