Kogi Governor Ododo Receives Rescued Kidnap Victims

Kogi State Governor Ahm Usman Ododo welcomed rescued kidnap victims at the government house in Lokoja. The victims, including two students and a school principal, were abducted during a gunmen attack on an unauthorized examination center in Dekina Local Government Area.

The rescue operation was conducted by a joint team comprising the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, and local vigilante security operatives, following Governor Ododo's directive. The Kogi State government announced the successful rescue on Thursday.

The National Examination Council defended the integrity of the secondary school at Olowa, dismissing claims that it was a "miracle center" and asserting that the school has been a legitimate public institution operated by the Kogi State government for four decades.
