Kogi State Rescues Four Kidnapped Victims from Attack

Kogi State has confirmed the successful rescue of four individuals who were kidnapped during an unauthorized examination center attack in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area. The state’s Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed that the rescue operation was coordinated by Jerri Omodara, the State Security Adviser, following directives from Governor Ahm Usman Ododo.

The operation involved the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, and local vigilante groups. Shortly after the kidnapping incident, security forces stormed the forest where the victims were held, leading to their safe recovery.

Governor Ododo emphasized that the state would not relent in its efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of its residents. He also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support in enhancing the state’s security measures.

The rescued victims were reported to be safe and in good health, and the operation showcased effective inter-agency collaboration in addressing insecurity in the region.
