Governor Wike Unveils New Radio Station in Rivers State Amid Political Mobilization

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State unveiled a new radio station, Major FM 89.5, located within the Renew Hope Ambassador office in Port Harcourt. The station is intended to serve as a platform for disseminating political messages across the state, particularly in the South-South region.

The inauguration comes amidst increasing political activities, with a particular focus on the 2027 reelection bid of Bola Tinubu. The station is equipped to reach over 6,866 units in Rivers State, indicating a wide potential audience.

A video shared on social media by Wike's senior special assistant showcased the Governor interacting with staff at the newly launched facility.
