Teenagers Launch Eduspark to Support Education in Lagos

On May 22, 2026, Nigerian teenagers Fareedah Oyolola and Ifeoluwa Onafowokan showcased their commitment to social impact through an educational outreach program named Eduspark in Lagos State. The initiative took place at Express Nursery Primary School along Ikosi Road in Ketu, Kosof Local Government Area, where they brought together 30 student volunteers to distribute educational materials to 400 pupils from public schools.

The event was notable not only for its scale but also for being entirely conceived and executed by the teenagers, both aged 17, who chose to channel their privileged access to improve the lives of less privileged children. Despite heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across parts of Lagos, the young volunteers remained undeterred, supported by security personnel and four vehicles loaded with educational supplies.

Fareedah Oyolola, recognized as an outstanding young intellectual and humanitarian, explained that Eduspark emerged from a desire to encourage young people to develop practical solutions to societal challenges.
