Digital Philanthropy Raises N700M for Nigerian Students

Wisdom Ewer and Obi Dickson, known for their digital philanthropy, have successfully raised N700 million to assist Nigerian students struggling with educational and financial challenges. Their initiative aims to support 5,000 students through school fee scholarships and medical interventions.

Obi Dickson, a lawyer turned humanitarian, emphasizes the importance of education as a means to combat poverty, inspired by Nelson Mandela's belief in education as a powerful tool for change. The funds raised have also been utilized for various humanitarian causes, including securing the release of a kidnapped female corps member and funding surgeries for patients in need.

The financial hardships faced by students, exacerbated by rising tuition fees and living costs, have been a significant barrier to education in Nigeria. Dickson recalls numerous cases of students who have had to abandon their studies due to financial constraints, highlighting the urgent need for support in the education sector.
