Adeleke's Visit to Tinubu Not a Move to Join APC

On Friday, Olajengbesi, the campaign spokesman for Governor Ademola Adeleke, addressed journalists in Abuja regarding Adeleke's meeting with President Tinubu. He emphasized that the visit was merely a courtesy and should not be interpreted as an indication of Adeleke's intention to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Olajengbesi described the visit as a standard practice following Tinubu's re-election, aimed at fostering a supportive environment for the success of the Osun governorship election. He stated that the discussions included appeals for presidential support to strengthen democratic institutions and prevent political manipulation.

Olajengbesi reiterated that Adeleke is not joining the APC. Additionally, the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA) issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Independent National Electoral Commission and police to address alleged election-related violence and incitement in Osun, stressing the importance of upholding the integrity of the electoral system and human life.
