WACOT Empowers Osun Cocoa Farmers with N158 Million Fund

WACOT, in collaboration with TGI Group, has disbursed N158 million to 2,000 cocoa farmers in Osun State, recognizing and rewarding sustainable agricultural practices. The initiative aims to transform cocoa farming into a sustainable and profitable enterprise, emphasizing the importance of good agricultural practices and environmental safeguards.

Farmers were also incentivized through monetary rewards for adhering to verified sustainability criteria. The program highlights the companies' commitment to empowering communities, financial inclusion, and leveraging technology for transparent and efficient operations.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support received and the positive impact on their cocoa plantations.
