WACOT Empowered 3,500 Sesame Farmers with €1.26m Grant

WACOT, in partnership with TGI Group and support from the German BMZ, secures a €1.26 million grant to empower 3,500 sesame farmers in Jigawa and Kebbi State, Nigeria. The project focuses on improving farmers' income, climate resilience, and organic farming practices.

By doubling farmers' income and enhancing climate resilience, the initiative aims to contribute significantly to Nigeria's non-oil export earnings. The project includes training, organic inputs, agroforestry, weather alert systems, and financial inclusion support to ensure sustainable agricultural practices.
