WAEC Launches Online Download for 2026 WASSCE Certificates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) announced on August 21, 2026, that candidates can now download their 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificates through its Digital Certificate Platform. Candidates are directed to visit the official WAEC website or use the WAEC Digital Certificate mobile application available on the Google Play Store.

The platform offers two access categories: Certificate Access for individual candidates to view, download, or share their results, and Certificate Confirmation for institutions to verify the authenticity of certificates. To retrieve a certificate, candidates must navigate to the Digital Certificate Platform, select Certificate Access, provide necessary examination details, complete verification, and then download their digital certificate.

WAEC clarified that this platform is separate from the result-checking portal. The 2026 WASSCE saw 1,950,726 candidates, with 1,200,514 (61.54%) achieving credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
