Super Falcons Begin Training for WAFCON 2026 in Morocco

The Super Falcons of Nigeria, under the guidance of head coach Justin Madugu, began their training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, on Monday in preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The squad includes notable players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade, forward Asisat Oshoala, and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The team is set to welcome an additional 16 players in the coming days, with a total of 25 players named in the squad. The tournament will take place from July 26 to August 16, 2026, in Morocco, where Nigeria will start their Group C campaign against Malawi at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, July 28.

The Super Falcons, who have won a record 10 titles, aim to capture an unprecedented 11th continental crown and secure qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the top four semi-finalists earning automatic qualification.
