Super Falcons Begin WAFCON Camp July 15 in Morocco

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team and a record 10-time champion, will open a week-long training camp on July 15, 2026, in Mohammedia, Morocco, as they prepare for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations scheduled from July 25 to August 16, 2026. Head coach Justin Madugu is expected to announce the final 24-player squad before the team's departure, which will include a double-header friendly against Senegal in June.

The camp will serve as the last opportunity for the coaching staff to fine-tune tactics and improve team chemistry. Nigeria is drawn in Group C and will begin their title defense against Malawi on July 28 at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, followed by matches against Zambia on August 1 and Egypt on August 5 at the Olympic Stadium.

Malawi has made significant changes to their technical bench, appointing experienced South African coach Sudesh Singh as the new technical advisor, while Lovemor Fazili remains in charge of overall team tactics.
