Walson-Jack Advocates for Reforms in Public Service

Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), advocated for evidence-based reforms, digital innovation, and enhanced collaboration among government tiers to improve the Public Service. She delivered her keynote address at the 48th Meeting of the National Council on Establishments (NCE) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Walson-Jack stated that the successful execution of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda relies on the efficiency of Civil and Public Services. She urged the Council to ensure establishment decisions are based on objectivity and professionalism.

The ongoing review of the Schemes of Service will be informed by the Personnel Audit and Skills Gap Analysis (PASGA), which aims to provide reliable data for workforce decisions. Walson-Jack emphasized that the future of Public Service must focus on evidence and strategic workforce planning.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Rivers State Head of Service Inyingi Brown also attended, highlighting the importance of a responsive and agile Public Service.
