Federal Government Delivers 129 Housing Units in Nasarawa

Muttaqha Rabe Darma, PhD, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, announced that the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is enhancing housing accessibility for Nigerians. During an event at the Nasarawa Technology Village in Karu, Nasarawa State, 129 completed housing units were handed over to beneficiaries.

These houses were funded by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and developed by Modern Shelter Systems and Services Limited in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Government. Darma stated that the Renewed Hope Housing Agenda prioritizes housing to improve Nigerians' lives, with a goal of delivering 100,000 houses by December 2026.

He assured that the remaining 122 beneficiaries would receive their keys by the end of 2026, totaling 251 housing units. Shehu Usman Osidi, Managing Director/CEO of FMBN, praised Darma's leadership and the efforts of Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule in supporting the housing initiative.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for becoming homeowners through this initiative.
