Duke Urges Opposition Unity Against Tinubu for 2027 Elections

Donald Duke, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), called for unity among opposition parties to effectively challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. In an interview with Symfoni TV, Duke warned that Tinubu is not an average politician and that the political system is designed to favor him and the All Progressives Congress (APC), who are currently in power.

He stated that even if the APC were to do nothing, they still hold the advantage as the ruling party. Duke emphasized the importance of coming together to form a cohesive opposition, arguing that failing to do so would lead to factionalism and self-sabotage.

He used a metaphor comparing Tinubu to a lion with horns, suggesting that opposing him without unity would be perilous. Duke's remarks underscore the challenges the opposition faces in the upcoming elections and the need for a united front to address the political landscape.
