ADC Vows to Continue Activities After Kaduna Attack

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a strong statement affirming its commitment to continue political activities in Kaduna State following an attack on its members. The statement, signed by ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, condemned the violence as an unacceptable escalation and warned that attempts to intimidate the party ahead of the 2027 elections would not succeed.

The ADC emphasized that political competition should not devolve into thuggery and urged security agencies to investigate the incident thoroughly, identifying and prosecuting those responsible. The party expressed solidarity with its Kaduna governorship candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru, and other affected members, calling for a political environment free from intimidation.

The ADC asserted that it would not be deterred from campaigning and engaging voters, insisting that the upcoming elections should be decided by ideas rather than violence. The party's warning comes as it intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections, having recently unveiled a joint development plan with other Northwest governorship candidates.
