Lokoja Appointees Commit to APC Support for 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, political appointees from Lokoja Local Government Area convened a strategic meeting led by Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, and all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Farouk emphasized the importance of unity within the party, noting that the main challenge was managing internal dynamics rather than external opposition, as many opposition members had defected to the APC.

He urged appointees to engage their constituencies and work towards doubling the votes secured by the APC in the 2023 elections. The meeting also included remarks from Hon. Suleiman Ndalaye Abdullahi, who highlighted the responsibility of appointees to collaborate effectively.

The appointees committed to regular meetings until the January 2027 elections to ensure a strong performance for the APC.
