Peter Obi Rejects Vote-Buying in Election Campaign

During a town hall meeting in Sokoto, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Obi/Kwankwaso movement, declared that his campaign will not bribe voters or party agents, labeling such actions as vote-buying, which he believes contributes to rising poverty in Nigeria. Obi, accompanied by his running mate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, assured attendees that adequate security measures would be implemented to protect voters and ensure accurate vote counting.

He also committed to tackling corruption, particularly regarding fuel subsidies, before considering any measures to alleviate fuel costs for Nigerians. Nasiru Tambuwal, the coordinator of the Obi/Kwankwaso movement in Sokoto, criticized the All Progressives Congress for adopting a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket, advocating for inclusive governance.

Kwankwaso reinforced the movement's dedication to good governance and improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, urging citizens to support their efforts for a government focused on enhancing living conditions.
