APC Demands Police Probe into Alleged Attack on Chieftain

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara Central condemned an alleged violent attack, harassment, and intimidation of its chieftain, Alhaja Tawakalitu Agaka, following her empowerment program in Agaka over the weekend. The APC Kwara Central Chairman, Alhaji Memudu Turawa, issued a statement urging the Nigeria Police Force and relevant traditional authorities to investigate the incident and identify those involved.

The party emphasized that political differences should not lead to violence or intimidation, advocating for an issues-based campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. The APC alleged that the attack was politically motivated, linked to Agaka's connection with the hometown of PDP governorship aspirant Alhaji Kawu Agaka.

The party called on the PDP to focus on policy rather than intimidation and warned against a return to past political violence. The APC stressed the importance of protecting Agaka's safety and urged security agencies to act against those responsible for the alleged attack.
