Ogun Rector Warns Weak Registry Threatens University Services

Dr. Abiodun Oluseyi, the rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology located in Igbesa, Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area, stated that a weak registry would severely impair the administration and service delivery of universities.

He highlighted the critical role of registrars in higher education and the necessity for continuous professional development to equip them with relevant skills. During the opening of the first annual training organized for registry staff, Oluseyi noted that the theme of the workshop focused on contemporary higher education registries, emphasizing the need for registrars to reskill and upskill to effectively manage the evolving landscape of higher education.

Mr. Sakirat Johnson, the registrar, described the workshop as a strategic step towards strengthening the administrative backbone of higher institutions.

Chief Ayotund Odulaja, chairman of the governing council, commended Oluseyi's leadership and encouraged participation in the training to enhance skills and improve service delivery in higher education.
