Nigerian Institute of Welding Denounces Unauthorized AGM, Vows Legal Action.

The Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Institute of Welding (NIW) has denounced an unauthorized Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre in Delta State. The BoT, led by Chudi Egbunike, expressed zero tolerance for the illegal gathering, labeling it as a factional and lawless act.

The Secretary of NIW BoT, Solomon Edebiri, clarified that the institute is a duly registered body with the power to hold AGMs as per the law. The BoT urged the public to disregard any resolutions from the unauthorized meeting and emphasized the importance of upholding the core values of the professional body.

The NIW leadership expressed dismay at the attempt to misuse the law for personal gain.
