Wema Bank Launches Hackaholics Accelerator 2026 Cohort

Wema Bank has officially launched the Hackaholics Accelerator 2026 cohort, welcoming ten startups into its growth program aimed at strengthening their business foundations for sustainable scaling. This initiative is part of Wema Bank's Hackaholics platform, which has been operational for six years and focuses on supporting promising Nigerian startups.

The selected cohort includes top performers from the Hackaholics 6.0 competition, featuring startups such as Farmslat, Ploi, Stocm, Feest, Chao, VarsityScap, MamaAlert, Sane, CycleX, and Kieva. Moruf Oseni, Managing Director and CEO of Wema Bank, emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting founders beyond the idea stage.

Babatund Mumuni, Chief Transformation Officer at Wema Bank, stated that the accelerator will guide founders through structured processes to strengthen their businesses. The program includes mentorship from industry experts and aims to refine business models and enhance market traction.

Since its inception in 2019, Hackaholics has attracted 15,000 applications and disbursed $400,000 to young innovators.
