Whistleblower Challenges Senator Nwoko on Paris Club Claims

Dr. Georg Uboh, the chairman of the Whistleblow Network, has publicly challenged Senator Ned Munir Nwoko's claims concerning the Paris Club refund in a letter dated April 21, 2026.

Uboh criticized Nwoko's press release issued on April 18, 2026, which addressed allegations surrounding the Paris Club refund and referenced purported clearance from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Uboh contended that the EFCC should have allowed individuals involved to respond to serious matters before making public statements.

He questioned whether the EFCC had indeed granted any form of clearance to Nwoko, citing documents that suggest otherwise. Uboh's rebuttal includes allegations regarding a payment of $350 million made in 2018, linked to the EFCC and former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun.

He urged the EFCC to review the matter and called for clarity from relevant parties, including the senator. As of the latest update, there has been no public comment from either Senator Nwoko or the EFCC regarding Uboh's claims.
