WHO Appoints NNMDA DG as Co-Chair of STAG-TM for Traditional Medicine Advancement

The World Health Organization (WHO) has appointed Prof. Martin Emej from Nigeria's NNMDA as co-chair of the newly established Strategic Technical Advisory Group on Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (STAG-TM).

This move aims to advance traditional medicine with scientific rigor and global expertise. Dr.

Susan Wieland will also co-chair the group, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based research and innovation in natural products. The STAG-TM will provide strategic and scientific guidance to member states in navigating the evolving field of traditional medicine.
