Atiku Abubakar's Campaign Council Excludes Aregbesola, Abdullahi

Rauf Aregbesola, the National Secretary, and Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), were not included in Atiku Abubakar's Presidential Campaign Council. Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on Public Communications to Atiku Abubakar, explained that their exclusion was due to their positions within the party's National Working Committee (NWC), which was responsible for forming the campaign structure.

The council's list, released on a Thursday, features prominent members such as Atiku Abubakar, his running mate Rotimi Amaechi, ADC National Chairman David Mark, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who is currently facing trial and is in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Other notable figures in the council include former presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, former Central Bank of Nigeria Deputy Governor Professor Kingsley Moghalu, Senator Dino Melaye, and former presidential aide Lauretta Onochie.
