Tinubu Delays APC Campaign Council Inauguration

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to chair the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice Chairmen I and II, respectively. Senator Abdulaziz Yari will serve as Director-General, and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will be the Secretary.

Following public reactions to the list released on Saturday, which highlighted questionable inclusions and omissions, the presidency is reviewing the council's membership. Concerns include the presence of individuals facing corruption charges, the exclusion of experienced members, and errors in the list.

Notably, Betta Edu and Ngozi Olejeme, both with allegations of financial impropriety, are included in the council. The date for the council's inauguration remains unannounced as adjustments are made, although the leadership structure will remain intact.
